FAQ
1. What is pediatric physical therapy?
Pediatric physical therapy is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on diagnosing and treating children with physical, developmental, or neurological conditions. The goal is to improve their mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and overall physical function, helping them reach their developmental milestones and improve their quality of life.
2. What is a cash-based physical therapy practice?
A cash-based physical therapy practice is one that does not accept insurance. Instead, patients pay directly for the services they receive. This allows for more personalized care, flexibility, and often faster access to treatment without the restrictions or delays that can come with insurance-based systems.
Choosing a cash-based practice allows for several benefits, including:
-
More one-on-one time: Since therapists aren't limited by insurance caps or restrictions, they can spend more time focusing on your child’s specific needs.
-
Fewer restrictions: There are no insurance-related hurdles, allowing therapists to provide treatments and interventions that they feel are best for your child.
-
Flexible scheduling: You can often schedule appointments without waiting for insurance approval or dealing with coverage restrictions
3. How can I get started with physical therapy for my child?
To get started, simply contact our office to schedule an evaluation. You may also request a referral from your pediatrician; however, you can begin therapy immediately without a referral. In the state of Florida, a referral is required after 30 days of treatment, if treatment is expected to extend past 30 business days a referral will be necessary. We will guide you through the process and ensure that your child receives the best care possible.
4. What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
We understand that life happens, and we try to be as flexible as possible. We ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer the time to other families who may need it. If we do not receive a cancellation with 24 hours' notice, a $25 cancellation fee will be charged. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a schedule that benefits all of our patients.
5. What type of payment do you accept?
Payment is due at the time of service, we accept credit card, debit card, cash, and HSA/FSA cards.
